One of the first things I was taught when I discovered online marketing was to build a list. How many times have you heard the phrase “The money is in the list”? Every guru and his dog still teach the same thing – build your list, get an autoresponder.
I hate autoresponders! For those of you who don’t know, an autoresponder is a way for you to automatically market to people who have given you their email details. For example you can load up an autoresponder with countless messages to be distributed to your contacts over a specified time – all done automatically. You can place special pieces of code that will insert your contact’s name in stategic spots so as to personalize your messages. Sound good huh? Much less work for you to do right?
On the surface this is true. If you are involved with MLM, Affiliate Marketing, CPA, Network Marketing or any other similar forms of home-based business this would certainly be a good idea. In fact it becomes a neccessity with these models as the sheer numbers of people you must deal with would be almost impossible to manage just with your own two hands. So in these instances I would say that it would be a solid addition to you marketing arsenal. The problem is that as more and more people are becoming internet savvy, they can clearly see that these responses are automated, and so this in turn reduces it’s effectiveness.
It is my belief that this practice should never be used in conjuction with a cash gifting system. Let me explain.. Cash gifting is fully geared towards creating face-to-face (or at least voice-to-voice) relationships. As I have outlined in other articles I have written, the success of any legitimate cash gifting system depends solely on creating lasting mutually beneficial relationships. It is about being available when your team needs help. In this respect an autoresponder just doesn’t cut it. This all ties in with your choice of the right cash gifting mentor.
I will NEVER use an autoresponder with my cash gifting system. All correspondence between myself and my team is done the old fashioned way, by phone or through a personal email (ok so email is only 15+ years old but you know what I mean!).
I understand that my team’s success is my success. If you are going to be involved in cash gifting then you must realize this too.
